FARA ASA, the leading provider of IT solutions to the transport sector in the Nordic countries, has been chosen, together with their partner, as supplier for a new real-time information and ticketing project for the operator Pannon Volán in the city of Pécs, Hungary. FARA will provide its Finnish proprietary platform for 325 buses. FARA has delivered about 750 units into Hungary.

The new shipments have a value of approx 800 000 EUR and deliveries will begin in first quarter in 2012. As previously, FARA will deliver hardware with FARA`s Finnish operating system. FARA’s partner will take care of the specific formal requirements in Hungary on their ticketing application. On the hardware side the contract involves the delivery of the FARA Vehicle PC and the driver and ticketing unit.

FARA has an advantage in Hungary since their solution, with the partner's application, has already been certified for use by the public authorities, a process that could otherwise take years.

De nye leveransene har en verdi på cirka 800 000 EUR og leveransene starter i første kvartal 2012. Som tidligere, så leverer FARA sin hardware med sitt finske operativsystem hvor partner legger på sin applikasjon som hensyntar spesifikke formalkrav til billettering i Ungarn. Leveransen innebærer i tillegg levering av FARA Vehicle PC, fører- og billettenhet.

FARA har et fortrinn i Ungarn da vår løsning sammen med partnerens applikasjon allerede er sertifisert av offentlige myndigheter, en prosess som kan ta flere år.
